"Can you buy me a pony, Mommy?" Are the words I've heard frequently during February and March as several of my children celebrated their birthdays. The closest they came to experiencing the real thing was when baby 'G' received a toy pony set for her February birthday.
So, where did this pony craze originate? Well, the children were treated to a day of pony rides, courtesy of the Ashburton Pony Club. The riders' compassion and kindness were heartwarming, especially as they helped some of the more fearful special needs children onto the ponies for a ride. We're immensely grateful to the Ashburton Pony Club for creating such memorable moments.
